The muse comes from above, ready to flow in the means that has chosen: writing, singing, painting, acting, etc. This needs to be put into action, physically (voice, hands, body), in order for the world to perceive our art. So our body needs to move. We need our body to be strong and with energy in order to raise a strong signal. Physical motion brings us to the now. It brings whatever dream or creation we have in the mind, to earth. If we are stagnant, the flow is slow, it can even get stuck.

It’s not easy to have the willpower to follow a diet when one has an energetic footprint from other lives that conditions the current behaviours, preferences, orientations, lacks and blockages in the present body. Plus it’s not just our own individual life’s journey, but also our parental, social and environmental baggage that affects who we are and the shape of our body (including where we tend to store fat and water). So let us see how these stored pieces of energy can determine our predisposition to overeat, no matter how willing we are to change… we might always come back to the same patterns, if we don’t heal the root cause, i.e. the trauma.

This is, perhaps, an uncommon association of words, but that’s why I am here, to break your patterns 😉 It is my bias to enhance the importance of the unseen (our mind), as the place where everything else originates. As such, I’d like to say that as important as the consistency in our physical training, vocal exercises and nutrition, are also our hygiene habits and intentions that go along with them. For the composition of our body is not only nurtured with the nutrients and movement we give it, but also with the elements that penetrate it from the outside: the air, soaps/gels, make-up/fragrances, interaction with other human/non-human beings, electromagnetic radiation, sounds/noises, etc, and the will we impose upon our actions. All of these things are, of course, frequencies at different rates of vibration.

Even knowing lots of concepts, one never really has all the answers. Such is human nature.
I got inspired by one of my clients to write about this article, because her situation applies to many people. When I met her, she lived absorbing the sorrows and miseries of her clients. She put herself down to please others. She is extremely empathetic, compassionate, sweet… and she walked with her shoulders down, a rounded back, slouching, bending over to the point I almost had to bend my neck looking for her face to meet her eyes. She was very wobbly on her knee and elbow joints, almost as if her joints were saying ‘sorry for being myself’, apologizing and saying thank you for everything to everyone, putting everybody’s needs first before hers.

One also has her own limits. Since I am in the world of fitness, from my very first session with my very first client up to this very morning, there is one thing that I haven’t ceased to repeat, and that thing is: “Breathe!”. Even with my long-term clients it is still a concept not embedded in their brains. No matter in which way I say it or demonstrate it, when or how many times. They either breathe the other way round to my instruction or they just directly don’t breathe (they withhold it), even when they are dying with exhaustion, they hold on to their air for dear life.

Sound is Movement. Frequency moves. Movement sounds. How is your posture and how is your breathing when you are listening? In which ways can your listening (active attention) improve your hearing (sense)? It often happens that we hear a lot of things but we aren’t listening. Our body movement, and where we place our tensions, is closely linked to that.
