Eating frozen food is a cheap option. But it’s dead energy. The quality of a material substance depends in its totality on the energy behind it. Pretty much the same as the quality of a person: a sculpted body without a heart or a soul is not beautiful, what is more, it’s ill and unhealthy. So why eat unhealthy food? only because it’s cheap? LOL! There are cheap people too! it doesn’t mean we bring them into our lives – unless we want to hang around in their miserable sub-worlds, that is. If you want to eat cheap because you can’t afford more, buy at the market, buy the ‘sale’ or ‘clearance’ foods that are reduced in price at the end of the day, or buy fresh and freeze them yourself.
As a trainer, with my humble sports nutrition knowledge and experience I have designed a good number of Nutrition Plans for my clients, all of them with different food intolerances, allergies, preferences and tastes. In most cases, for fat loss/body toning, the rules are to increase protein and green vegetables’ intake and reduce fat amounts and unnecessary calories from ‘nutritionally empty foods’ (which may be rich in micronutrients and water but not macros, such as celery, lettuce, mushrooms, bone broth, etc). Now, is this optimal and adequate for every individual? the answer is no.
There is one curious piece of information that has stayed with me from my years as a singing student. Such thing is this: “Your tongue is the biggest obstacle to Singing, yet it is one of the most powerful muscles in your body”. And no wonder, as the tongue is highly responsible for holding our head upright, forming all the subtleties of our language, and helping digest our food. The tongue (the tongue is actually a group of 8 muscles), together with the diaphragm and the larynx (what a coincidence, the main Singing muscles!) are the only skeletal muscles that can function independently from the skeleton, that means you can move them without moving your ‘frame’, without being noticed.
We believe we are living this life for ourselves and our loved ones. But we are not. We are food for those feeding in the shadows. They run the system with our energy. We don’t fight back because we are trapped by emotions. We believe that our role is to pursue the path of love, which we never fully achieve, because we’ve been designed to believe it lies outside us, when in truth it’s within. It’s the carrot we run towards but never get to eat. The shadows know this is a game, we don’t. We believe this world is real, deceived by the senses, while they feed from our dreams. We don’t believe our dreams, so they own them.
In our job (Singing, Fitness) we have the luxury of sharing our passions – for how long given the current world situation, we don’t know, but that’s a different matter. I am one to do and make a living of that which excites me, otherwise what’s the point? Doing what you love is beneficial for all parties involved: for you, for the people you work for/with, and for the result of your work, as they will absorb your joy. And whether or not you are too technical or precise or a lot in the mind, what matters is the energy you project, the enthusiasm you have when you deliver your work. That ‘thing’ that those who come to you don’t seem to find within themselves and they are seeking.
“We just have sex but I don’t allow myself to have any feelings for him/her, just in case I get attached.” In our current society, this seems to be the daily bread. People seem to have lost touch with their inner selves, in more than one way. Let’s dedicate a few seconds of silence to this😞.
